ENG: Candling chicken eggs! A complete tutorial!

I will try to guide the breeders how to candle the chicken’s eggs.

Is not so easy, you have to “train your eyes” to certificate if the embryo is alive.

I intend to give tips since the first day of incubation (natural or artificial).

If it is possible, I will post pictures!

1º day: at the first day, even you try to candle, you won’t see any signal wheter the egg is fertile or not. So, in the first day of incubation, is not recommended you candle the eggs! They will appear “white” or “empty”, as we call, only with yolk.

“White” or “empty” is the nouns we give for the infertile eggs, but you can’t say it at the beginning of the incubation. We will talk more about it.

Note: If you see a crack in the egg, the embryo won´t develop. It´s better take out this egg!
